The Prajnopaya Nursing College:

Scholarship Fund: Care for Future
Educating Tomorrows Care Givers

Concurrent with the building of a nursing college in India, Prajnopaya is sponsoring the education of five young students, including monks and nuns, from India to serve in the future institution. Their two-year study and training in Hualien, Taiwan, will prepare them to be instructors at the new nursing college as well as health resource persons for the needy in remote parts of India. Prior to their study, they will receive basic training in the English language. Any amount you can donate towards their education would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

_________________________

With compassion as the guiding ideal, the Nursing College enhances traditional academic course work by incorporating considerable ‘hands-on’ training into the curriculum. The Program is typically three years, but can extend to four, depending on the student’s area of concentration. While not yet a separate discipline within the College, classes in Indo Tibetan and Ayurveda medicine are offered as electives. The faculty is comprised of Indian, European, and American physicians and nurses. In close proximity to the Nursing College is the Prajnopaya Home for the Elderly. Though two distinct institutions, they greatly complement each other. The Foundation strives to develop synergies, such as these, between organizations.

Men and women, both lay and monastic, are encouraged to apply.
